The Mission

Gravity Works is a movement and education company. Structural Integration is at the core of how we release, rehabilitate, and reorganize the patterns and balance in your body. We make movement tools and toys for your body to play, learn, and enjoy the experience of moving well. Most proudly we are educators— From individuals to our workshops where we are training other professionals. Our passion is to make sure we are all learning to use our bodies and brains to the best of our abilities.

Max Friedman

Gravity Works Founder, Max Friedman, is a Structural Integration practitioner, E-RYT, movement trainer, and a deep-diving nerd about the body.

A perpetual student, Max skis, surfs, climbs, cooks, and tends to get a bit monastic in lifestyle. He studied anatomy and physiology at Berkeley, but by the time he was interning at clinics in Jackson Hole, yoga had other plans for his movement journey. Through teaching yoga, craving more study, and completely destroying limbs and spine in some big mountain mishaps, he found himself at an ashram in Rishikesh studying with a doctor of yogic sciences and embarking on a wildly educational journey in movement, healing, fascial planes, and connection and relationship.

From his yoga education and experience, Max moved into the world of Structural Integration. Deeply immersing himself in the study of fascia since 2015, Max studied with one of Ida Rolf’s first students, Emmett Hutchins, and with the Guild for Structural Integration.

Max practices year-round out of Jackson Hole, WY and wherever the ski and surf takes him next.
